No. The service is free for job seekers. Also, you don’t have to be an APWA member to use APWA WorkZone (although we’d love to have you become a member!)

How do I search for positions on APWA WorkZone?
You can search for positions by specific state or province. Or, you can conduct a refined search, which will allow you to search by location, Keywords and job category.

How many Job Agents can I have?
You can have up to three Job Agents.

How do I create my Job Agents?
First, give your agent a name (e.g. Wastewater, PWDirector) then an e-mail address for your Job Agent to send matching position descriptions to. Determine whether you want for your Job Agent to be active for 3 months or 6 months. You can then enter specific keywords (e.g. Public Works Director) that your job agents can search for. The last steps are to select a state/province, job category and job type (e.g. part-time, full-time, etc.)

How do I manage my Job Agents?
You have two options for managing existing Job Agents—you can either edit or delete them. You also have the option of creating new Job Agents. You can have up to three Job Agents.

How frequently will have job openings e-mailed to me?
If your Job Agents locate appropriate positions, they will be e-mailed to you once a week.
