Volunteer opportunities open to Region I and II Chapters

2010 Congress Volunteer Sign-up Form

The 2010 APWA International Public Works Congress & Exposition will be an exciting week as thousands of APWA members will come together August 15 - 18, 2010. You can contribute to the success of our meeting by participating as a Congress volunteer.

If you are already attending the Public Works Congress & Exposition and can spare a half-day or more, you can assist the New England Chapter in making this year's Congress our best yet! Volunteers who are full Congress attendees, must pay the full Congress registration fee. APWA will NOT be refunding your registration fee for the day or half day that you volunteer. Volunteers from the APWA Region I and II Chapters who can attend just one day, may sign up to work/volunteer for 1/2 day and then may visit the APWA/SWANA Exhibit Hall or attend Education sessions for the other part of the day at no charge.

We need people to serve as room monitors for each of the 120+ education sessons and workshops, and for crowd control and ticket taking at the general sessions and other events. You must be available in half-day time blocks. Please indicate the time(s) you are available and your shirt size in the form below. A small number of volunteers are needed for Saturday, the majority of volunteers are needed Sunday through Wednesday.

Arrangements are being made for free parking for volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator will provide details and directions at a later date.
