Work Zone Safety Beyond Cones and Barrels
Just because that pothole, light pole installation, water line repair or tree trimming operation is only going to take an hour or two, doesn’t mean considerations for public and worker safety should be taken lightly.
Learn some key steps to determining how short-term work zone safety areas should be set up including what situations warrant a flagger, when to close lanes down, and whether or not to route a detour.
See specific examples of work zone set-ups gone awry, and how they should be fixed. Also, get tips on how to manage your training needs to meet with MUTCD regulations.
This 2-hour program is appropriate for public works street crews as well as water, sewer, and other utility maintenance crews.
