Weather reports are not just for predicting snow removal.
Knowing what tools are available to monitor road weather conditions is a critical part of proper decision making.
There are a lot of options available to you, and the cost of each type of solutions can be considerable different, but so are the benefits. It is very important that you make decisions that not only fit in your budget but will provide you and your agency the necessary information to get a good return on your investment. Understanding the technology is not challenging, it just takes some basic understanding of principals.
Join us for information on where you can go to get real-time weather and road information, weather forecasts, and river flow information -- and how it can be of use to your agency.
After viewing this program, participants will be better able to: 1. Quickly find and interpret real-time weather information 2. Discern how surface measurements are made 3. Assess what impacts weather conditions are having on the road network
