Beginning operation in the fall of 2007, this facility includes a recycling system that uses washwater for both washbay and brine making processes and collects rain and snow melt from the roofs of the buildings into a cistern to be used in the washwater system. All processes are contained under the roof of the structure where an underground rubber membrane is in place to minimize ground contamination. An external conveyor used to load material into the building is designed to contain material in one area while eliminating the need for trucks backing up to dump.
