Description: Trees are valuable assets and should be a part of every agency's infrastructure. However, unlike other assets, trees are dynamic, living things that require a special understanding. Hear how trees provide important economic, environmental and aesthetic benefits. Find out from the experts how trees can and should be planted, preserved and protected in public works projects.

Get answers to your questions:
• Can trees and utilities coexist?
• Can I have healthy trees AND healthy sidewalks?
• Can I protect existing trees and stay within my project budget?
• I didn't hurt the tree so what's the big deal?
• How can I work with other departments to protect the urban forest?
• Who is a tree expert? Where can I get reliable information?

This program has been approved for .2 CEUs or 2 PDHs. The form to request these credits is included in the handouts for this program.
