Howard Mann
Fleet and Facilities Manager City of Leawood, KS
Howard Mann has more than 30 years of vehicle and equipment maintenance experience. He has managed the City of Leawood's Fleet Operations for the past 20 including planning and budgeting. He is the current chair for the Fleet Services Committee for the Kansas Metro Chapter. He was a responsible for developing the Mechanic's competition event at the local chapter rodeo over 10 years ago, one of the only events of its kind. He is currently ASE dual master certified in Automotive and Medium/Heavy Duty Truck as well as Truck Installation and Repair. He also has obtained the CEM designation from AEMP.
Howard was awarded the 2004 Public Works Professional Manager of the Year from the Kansas City Metro Chapter of APWA.

Ernie Ivy has 37 years experience in the repair, maintenance, management, and procurement of light, medium, and heavy duty vehicles and equipment. He has been “greening the fleet” in Denver, Colorado, blazing new trails with pioneering acquisitions of hybrids, alternative fuels, and emissions control technology. Mr. Ivy’s leadership in Denver’s Green Fleet Program is supporting City goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build the most environmentally-friendly fleet imaginable.

Mary Joyce Ivers, CPFP
Fleet and Facilities Manager City of Ventura, CA
Mary Joyce Ivers has over 15 years experience in the fleet maintenance field. She has managed the City of Ventura’s fleet for over 8 years, which includes over 425 public safety vehicles, water, wastewater, and construction equipment, and hybrid and electric vehicles. She manages a $5 million internal services budget with an aggressive replacement fund. In support of the City of Ventura’s “Green Initiative,” she is leading an effort to reduce fuel consumption by 10% this year. Not only has the fleet been “Green” for over a decade, the Maintenance facility electrical supply is provided by a 100 kW solar panel array and “solar tube” natural lighting provides illumination in the fleet facility. Mary Joyce recently obtained the APWA Certified Public Fleet Professional designation.
