Mario Maciel, MBA, PMP, CCM
Vice President-Northern Region, Harris & Associates, Concord, CA
Mr. Maciel has 29 years of experience in construction, including civil, structural and environmental projects. For private and agency clients, he has managed projects from conception through permitting and design, to construction and into operation and maintenance. He is certified by the Corps of Engineers in Construction Quality Management, a by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP), and through the Construction Management Association of America as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM). His experience includes work as an Inspector, Construction Supervisor, Superintendent, and a Sr. Project Manager on domestic and international projects. He has served as Vice President of Construction and Engineering for a multi-billion dollar firm, and currently serves as Vice President of Construction Management for Harris & Associates’ Northern Region.

Tim Knaus
Business Development – Construction Industry, Carmeuse, North America
Mr. Knaus earned a BSCE from the University of Akron and has been involved in the Geotechnical Engineering and Construction industry for over 10 years. With Carmeuse Mr. Knaus specializes in chemical modification and stabilization of soils using lime based products along with lime in asphalt and road reclamation techniques. Mr. Knaus provides continuing education on these topics to a wide variety of groups all over the Midwest from Owner agencies, Geotechnical consultants, Civil designers as well as Contractors and construction field personnel. He is often asked to speak at various industry events and was most recently a speaker at the Central Ohio Chapter of the APWA - Inspectors forum. Mr. Knaus lives in Massillon, Ohio.

Michael S. Ross, P.E.
Manager, Technical and Administrative Services Public Works Department Overland Park, Kansas
Mike is the Manager of Technical and Administrative Services for the City of Overland Park, Kansas. He has a BSCE from the University of Missouri at Rolla, and a Masters in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Kansas. He is licensed as a professional engineer in Kansas. He is an active member of the Kansas City Metro Chapter of APWA, and is a past-president of that chapter. His responsibilities include providing the construction inspectors within the Public Works department with the technology to help them do more with less.

Ron Received his Bachelors of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University in 1996. He has nearly 15 years experience working on projects ranging from Telecommunications sites to Regional Distribution Centers up to 1.8 million Square Feet. His experience includes Construction Inspection and material testing as well as many aspects of design.
