Thursday, March 22, 2007 Management of a Construction Project The first in the series concentrates on the advanced skills needed to manage and monitor more complex construction projects � from the perspective of the inspector. It contains updated information about the new technology applications in use today, scheduling practices, and interpretation of drawings.
Speaker:	Mario Maciel, MBA, PMP, CCM Vice President-Northern Region, Harris & Associates, Concord, CA Mr. Maciel has 29 years of experience in construction, including civil, structural and environmental projects. For private and agency clients, he has managed projects from conception through permitting and design, to construction and into operation and maintenance. He is certified by the Corps of Engineers in Construction Quality Management, a by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP), and through the Construction Management Association of America as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM). His experience includes work as an Inspector, Construction Supervisor, Superintendent, and a Sr. Project Manager on domestic and international projects. He has served as Vice President of Construction and Engineering for a multi-billion dollar firm, and currently serves as Vice President of Construction Management for Harris & Associates� Northern Region.
