Productivity Partners Inc.

In 1992 Cynthia Kyriazis decided to launch an organizing and time management business for the commercial sector. Today, 80% of her clients report saving at least 45 minutes a day in real time and 91% have improved their overall productivity—some as much as 30%.

Cynthia’s work centers around the principles, strategies and behaviors that help decision-makers and their teams improve focus, execution and profitability. During her career as a productivity coach, trainer, consultant and speaker she has worked with hundreds of employees in a cross-section of industries in markets ranging from small business to Fortune 500 companies.

Cynthia coaches executives and works with teams on achieving their targets and goals. She is co-author of the book “The Organized Communicator”, creator of instructional CDs and the only productivity consultant to have developed and launched customized e-learning and blended-learning programs based on her onsite training.
Speaker: Michelle Bono

Director of Communications, Bono Communications and Marketing, Assistant to City Manager, City of Tallahassee, FL (population 155,000)

Michelle Bono is the assistant to the city manager and director of Communications for the city of Tallahassee, Florida’s capital city and center of higher education. Bono serves on the city manager’s executive team and directs the city’s communications and marketing efforts, facilities management, and special inquiries. The communication efforts encompass media relations, government access television, citizen involvement initiatives, publications and Internet services. Prior to assuming her position in Tallahassee in May 1997, she served for nearly 10 years as the public information officer for the City of Roanoke, Virginia.

Michelle also teaches and consults through her own business, Bono Communications and Marketing. She teaches on a variety of topics including strategic communications, working with the media, enhancing internal communications, getting your message through to your audience and using creativity to produce results. She specializes in working with public servants ranging from the Leadership Team of a city, to professionals in public works, accounting, parks and recreation and communications.

Her previous experience also includes work as a broadcast journalist, and public relations work in the private and non-profit sectors. A native of Wichita, Kansas, Bono earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Wichita State University and is nearing the completion of the master's in public administration from Florida State University. She has served as president of the City, County, Communications and Marketing Association, a nationwide organization committed to enhancing communications in local government, and currently is involved with a variety of other boards, professional groups and local organizations. She is a Certified Public Manager, an Accredited Public Relations (APR) professional, and a Certified Public Relations Counselor.

Speaker: Jon Ruiz

Assistant City Manager, City of Fresno, California

Since March 2004 Jon Ruiz has been Assistant City Manager for the City of Fresno. As Assistant City Manager, he oversees six departments – Public Works, Public Utilities, Economic Development, Planning and Development, and Parks, Recreation and Community Services, in addition to being a member of the City’s Executive Leadership Team.

Jon was the City’s Public Works Director prior to his appointment as Assistant City Manager. As Public Works Director, he was responsible for the City’s engineering, street maintenance, traffic operations, parking, capital project planning and construction and neighborhood infrastructure.
