Description: Lessons Learned in Streetscaping Projects

Re-development projects include stakeholders with different needs and points of view. Your success depends upon balancing these and delivering a design plan adding value to the whole community. Speakers emphasize lessons learned from streetscaping projects:

Bob Morris is the Senior Project Manager for the City of Palo Alto, California. He has been a project manager in the public sector for 18 years managing building and infrastructure projects. He has degrees in architecture, structural engineering and a license in civil engineering.

City Projects Engineer
City of Gloucester, MA

Michael Hale, AICP is a project manager for the City of Gloucester, MA, Engineering Department. Since 2000, he has successfully managed millions of dollars worth of public utilities and infrastructure projects. He brings a unique perspective to the City of Gloucester Engineering Department. Michael has master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning.

Russell A. Moore, P.E. is a Vice President at Harris & Associates and has managed or directed the design of 15 downtown streetscape projects in California. Mr. Moore has 22 years of experience in public works project delivery and has served as a Contract City Engineer for 6 years. He presented a "How-to Checklist for Streetscape Projects" at the 2005 APWA Congress in Minneapolis.
