Jon R. Ruiz
Jon R. Ruiz, Assistant City Manager, City of Fresno, California
Since March 2004 Jon Ruiz has been Assistant City Manager for the City of Fresno. As Assistant City Manager, he oversees six departments – Public Works, Public Utilities, Economic Development, Planning and Development, and Parks, Recreation and Community Services, in addition to being a member of the City’s Executive Leadership Team.
Jon was the City’s Public Works Director prior to his appointment as Assistant City Manager. As Public Works Director, he was responsible for the City’s engineering, street maintenance, traffic operations, parking, capital project planning and construction and neighborhood infrastructure.

Cora Jackson-Fossett
Cora Jackson-Fossett is the Public Affairs Director for the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works. She is responsible for developing, implementing and administering comprehensive programs and projects in media relations, community relations, marketing communications and crisis communications.
She previously held public information positions at Los Angeles International Airport and the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago, IL and Long Beach, CA.
She serves as Chairperson of the National Diversity Committee of the American Public Works Association as well as on the Board of Directors for several professional and community organizations in the Los Angeles area.
