"Mentoring, Coaching, and Training for Public Works Employees"
Call begins at 11:00 a.m. Pacific/12 Noon Mountain/1:00 Central Daylight/2:00 p.m. Eastern Time
With the many changes that have been taking place in our local agencies, many of our most experienced managers have taken retirement. Now we have newer staff members who are expected to step in and fill these positions, many without much training or preparation. The purpose of today’s call is to discuss ways to mentor, coach, and train public works employees to perform their duties in a professional manner and to provide on-going opportunities for mentoring them through the process. If your agency hasn’t faced this issue now, then consider this as good information for Succession Planning when the time comes.
The panelists for today’s On-Line Mentoring Call will share their experiences with you. Get your staff together or individual staff members who might benefit from hearing shared experiences and have them join the call.
The call will be approximately 90 minutes in length.
Presenters this month will include:
- George Haines, Member, Leadership and Management Committee, Program Director, Northern Wyoming Community College District, Gillette, WY
